SPAMALOT - The Hilarious QHS Musical Production
Monty Python's musical comedy SPAMALOT hit the stage this week with hilarious antics. The audience was kept entertained with the brilliant comic timing of the performers, with laughter filling the Royal Theatre.
This year's QHS School Musical production, Monty Python's SPAMALOT is a musical comedy adapted from the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Like the film, it is a highly irreverent parody of the Arthurian Legend.
Eighteen students from Years 7-12 have worked hard rehearsing since Term 1. They have dedicated a significant amount of their own free time to ensuring that they presented the most polished and entertaining production possible. The commitment and professionalism displayed by cast and crew has been remarkable. All of them should be incredibly proud of their efforts.
There have also been a number of other people who have been instrumental in helping this production come together. A huge thank you must go to the following staff from Quirindi High School: Rebecca Batho, Jess Hinsley, Adam Field, Sam Langston, John Watters and Chris Owen. Also, Brett Cooper for the construction of the vast majority of the set. Thank you, as always, to the QHS P&C for the delicious refreshments during interval.
We would like to acknowledge Ms Leanne Cooper, director/producer, for her dedication to providing students of Quirindi High School with fantastic opportunities to perform in stage productions of this calibre. Ms Cooper's commitment and expertise in the Performing Arts is a true indication of the quality of educational experiences provided at Quirindi High School.
A brilliant display of comedy, singing, dancing and acting from the QHS cast and crew of Monty Python's SPAMALOT.
