All six Quirindi High School students who attended the North West Regional swimming Championships in Armidale today qualified for the State Finals.

State Finals will be held in Sydney on March 31 – April 1st.

Year 8 student, Oliver Bratley – Qualified 1st for 100m Breaststroke.

Year 10 student, Keenan Davis - Qualified 3rd for 100m Breaststroke.

Year 7 student, Holly Martin - Qualified 3rd for the 100m Butterfly and 1st 100m Breaststroke.

Students, Katie Martin, Bella Pollard, Holly Martin and Bella McCarthy – Qualified 1st for the 50m Freestyle Relay.

Year 9 student, Bella Pollard – Qualified 1st 100m Butterfly, 2nd 100m Freestyle, 2nd 200m Individual Medley, 2nd 50m freestyle, 1st 100m Breastroke, 2nd 200m Freestyle and 1st 100m Backstroke. Bella also Qualified for the 400m Individual Medley. - What an Outstanding achievement Bella!

Bella also set a new North West Swimming Record for the 100m Butterfly with a time of 1.09.08 beating the previous record of 1.11.05 set by Karla Stewart of Tamworth in 1996.

Well done to all of the QHS Competitors – you have set the bar high for future years of competition.
