QHS Year 9 and 10 Primary Industry students in Mrs Clift’s class shone today as they undertook a series of mock interviews from professionals in the Agricultural field.

James Davison interviewed students for the mock role of a ‘Farmer’ advertising for a ‘Farm Hand’ position.

James, who works for Rod Grant on the property called "Walla Park" congratulated all students on the process and offered the advice of students maintaining eye-contact during the interview process, he awarded Nicholas Boorer as successful.

Simon Roxborough on behalf of Agracom interviewed for two mock positions of ‘Grain Trader’. Simon commended students who had researched their prospective employer before the interview process - Grace Hutchins was successful for the for the logistical role and Hamish Craig was successful for the grain trader role.

Nathan McConnell, Stock and Station Agent for Elders, interviewed for a prospective ‘Agent’ role and offered students the suggestion that they ask more questions of their future employee in interviews, Jaiden Summers was successful for this role.

Bruce Nixon, Pursehouse Rural Quirindi, interviewed for the Role of ‘Customer Service Representative.

“This is actually a role we are advertising at the moment, and some of the QHS students interviewed here today would be ideal for the role,” said Bruce, who awarded Katie Marin as successful for this role.

Thank you to Teacher, Mrs Clift for organising today’s fabulous experience for students, who had to pre prepare their CV’s and practice interview techniques before the day.
