The Quirindi High School SRC would like to thank the QHS community for supporting their fundraiser - Jeans for Genes day last Friday.
“This year saw donations increase significantly, which we attribute to the Learning Disposition ‘Self-regulation’ and the spirit of the student body,” said SRC Representative, James Redgrove.
In previous years of the fundraiser event, the QHS SRC raised $385 in 2018, which was followed by $216 in 2019. This year, however, they amassed more than the previous two combined with a total of $944 to contribute to the worthy cause.
QHS SRC would also like to extend their congratulations to the raffle winners: Bridie Douglas, who received the first place $100 Just Jeans gift voucher and Sophie Robinson, who won the second prize tote bag.
“Thank you to all who united to raise funds to assist in finding cures for children’s diseases, so kids can just be kids,” concluded James.
Congratulations to all QHS students and to our proactive SRC, not only was it an outstanding fundraiser for a worthy cause, it was terrific to see our students have the opportunity to have some fun at school in what has been an unusual year of change for them.
