The QHS SRC flew into action when they heard the schools Support Unit had lost a chicken due to illness - leaving one chicken by itself.

The student body put the call out for a donor chicken, this was answered by the Owen family, who gifted a chicken called Penny to the cause.

The feathered friends have settled nicely into their new living arrangement, and are providing eggs, learning opportunities and companionship to the Support Unit.

Well done SRC for your awareness, empathy and action to assist your peers. (SRC Treasurer, Katie Martin assisted Head Teacher, Mrs Urquhart to settle Penny into her new home).
