ROUND 1 of the Quirindi Rotary Club Public Speaking competition was held recently.
There were four outstanding participants, all QHS students.
Eshaas Gujral – spoke on WWI.
Shania McNamee – spoke on beauty standards in social media.
Tanya McNamee – spoke on psychology behind serial killers.
Rudi Walker-Sangster – spoke on political correctness and cancel culture.
First place was awarded to Rudi with second to Tanya.
“Big thank you to Mr Owen and Mr Lewis for judging and to Mrs Valentine for supporting us through the school. Congratulations to all the competitors, it was a great night,” said Rudi.
Both Rudi and Tanya will head to the next round to be held at the Quirindi Community Library this weekend, we wish them all the best.
“I’m grateful to be able to represent the region in the next round of this fun competition,” said Tanya.
