NORTH WEST BASKETBALL

QHS had not one, but two teams in the North West Open Basketball finals in Tamworth today - one in the girls and one in the boys, which is a massive effort for a school.

Made all the more remarkable by the fact that the girls were two players down and the side comprises junior players only. 

The girls had a massive effort on the court and came back strongly in the fourth quarter to score more than Oxley - unfortunately on the day the score was 32- 41 to Oxley High School. 

On court QHS were cohesive and played the shots well. 

Congratulations to: Jaime-lee Bellamy, Bella McCarthy, Bridie Douglas, Lily Owen and Miley Clark - absent were Jessica Farr and Emily Daw.

We are wishing Bella McCarthy a speedy recovery from an elbow injury.
