25 Nov 2015

Thursday 12th November saw Quirindi High farewell the class of 2015 in style at the annual Formal Dinner held at the RSL club. Students dressed appropriately for the occasion, showing that they had made the transition from school students to adults.
The evening started with students, their partners and families being able to have professional photos taken by Mr Adam Field, who donated all prints back to the students free of charge. The students were then welcomed into the room and were escorted in by a partner, a friend or a family member.
School captains Tristan Wong and Zara Constable thanked parents and teachers for assisting them throughout their school career, Mr Harries made the response on behalf of the school, Mr Terry Lawlor spoke on behalf of all the parents and Year Adviser Chris Owen congratulated the class of 2015 on their efforts and successes. The formal proceedings concluded with a cutting of a ceremonial cake, traditionally done by the oldest and youngest in the year group, who was Dom French and Terri Walker.
After a fantastic three course meal provided by the RSL, everyone was able to take group photos at the instant photo booth which was donated by the high school P&C. Each student was also provided with a blank canvas that they could get signed as a memento of finishing Year 12.
Thank you to Mrs Lawlor, Mrs Owen, Ms Hunt and Mrs Bowley for the beautiful decorating of the RSL.
In all, it was a very elegant evening.
