GETTING TO KNOW US
This morning, QHS welcomed 70 future students and their families for their Orientation Day - in preparation for High School in 2109.
After a welcome and introduction to QHS by their Year Advisor Jen Stock, the Principal’s and Deputy Principal’s address by Ian Worley and Catherine Loughrey, students and their careers were informed of some school procedures including processes for permission notes, leave passes, uniform notes, general permission notes, change of address or medication / health issues etc as well as an introduction to staff.
Parents then had a chance to ask questions of the Principal, purchase book packs, uniforms and backpacks for their students.
After a rest and bite to eat, students then undertook a Treasure Hunt – to familiarise them with the schools grounds, classroom and as a team building exercise.
2019 Year 7 students are about to head to lunch before meeting with their QHS Buddy Coordinator before heading home at 3.15pm.
