CRICKET ON THE GREEN

Twelve QHS students played in the CHS Open Boys Cricket team today in a match against Oxley High.

“The boys really enjoyed the opportunity to represent the school and get back into sport. The game was played in great spirit by both sides, with Oxley posting a very competitive score to chase,” said QHS Teacher, Mr Chambers.

While QHS weren’t successful - they were bowled out in the second last over of the match -

Captain, Brad Forsyth led the team well, and the boys, showed great persistence against a better side.

“All players did well and supported one-another and it’s great to provide our students with a sporting opportunity in this year of restrictions,” said Mr Chambers who commended the Liverpool Plains Shire Council staff on the magnificent upkeep of the oval and grounds.

“For and Open Boys Cricket side we have a young team with the majority of players from Year 8, so, todays students have another 3 to 4 years to develop. Well done team,” commended Mr Chambers.
