QHS students are full steam ahead with their ‘Major Projects’ across a range of faculties, including Woodwork and Metal work projects in Technology and Applied Sciences (TAS) Department.

TAS Teacher, Miss Bayliss said she is really enjoying working with her students, including those who are undertaking their Major Projects.

“Year 12 students have undertaken ‘Industry Study’ in their chosen field in relation to their major project. They have researched the industry of their choice and have self- directed this particular stage of study,” said Miss Bayliss, who commenced teaching at QHS this year and is enjoying both the school and wider community.

 

“I have family in the area and have been very warmly welcomed by the community. As a new teacher I feel supported by the school and am really enjoying living and working here,” continued Miss Bayliss, who undertook Year 11 and 12 Construction when she was at school.

QHS students have all been busy working on sourcing materials and their folio including their, statement of intent and Miss Bayliss concluded she is also enjoying being part of the ‘QHS School Shed’ and assisting in beautification projects arounds the school grounds.
