Miss Daniels, Year 11 Geography students are studying the biosphere – which is made up of the parts of Earth where life exists - it extends from the deepest root systems of trees to the dark environment of ocean trenches, to lush rain forests and high mountaintops.
At present, students are looking specifically at biodiversity, including working on developing their field sketch skills.
“Completing fieldwork is a mandatory part of the stage 6 Geography syllabus. The lesson was to familiarise students with field sketches and the process of how to complete one. They did well,” said, Teacher Miss Daniels.
